The Fens


Delph Bank is situated in South Lincolnshire, close to the borders of West Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire.

Great Places to Visit


  • The Royal Residence of Sandringham is only 35 minutes from Delph Bank. Follow the road to the west coast and you soon meet the charming seaside towns of Snettisham, Heacham and Hunstanton, with their unspoilt beaches.
  • Elegant and historic buildings in the nearby towns of Spalding, Wisbech, Boston and King's Lynn recall former days as thriving sea ports before the Fens were drained.

Britain's "flower basket"


  • South Lincolnshire is Britain's flower basket, celebrated in local churches throughout South Holland by colourful flower displays.
  • The Boston "Stump", St Botolph's 271ft church tower, can be seen for miles around. It's one of the largest parish churches in England.


Period architecture


  • Stamford with its magnificent Georgian architecture, sits on the river Welland and is the most complete stone town in England, with whole streets unchanged over the centuries.
  • Burghley House is a grand 16th century country house, home to the annual Burghley Horse Trials.
  • Heckington windmill is the world's only 8 sail working windmill, and Moulton windmill is the tallest surviving windmill in the UK.

Food, Drink and Retail Therapy


  • Springfields Festival Gardens and Outlet Village is a fantastic day out at any time of the year. The water taxi is a pleasant half-hour trip into Spalding.
  • There are numerous local pubs and restaurants to enjoy within easy reach of Delph Bank. In Fleet Hargate itself, the Rose and Crown village pub and the Chestnut tea rooms and farm shop and the Beijing Palace restaurant are just a short stroll away.
